Full-Time ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – MEDIA SALES
Venture is seeking an experienced and high energy advertising account executive to join the sales team in our Edmonton office.
Major responsibility: to build relationships and serve the needs of our advertising clients for Alberta Venture and Alberta Oil for print, online and sponsorships. This position requires a results-oriented and professional sales performer who will service existing accounts, prospect for new clients and develop new business to grow advertising and sponsorship revenues.

Desired Skills and Experience
The appropriate candidate must have 5+ years sales experience and experience in advertising sector preferred. Post-secondary education and knowledge of the Alberta business community is an asset.
•Sell on multi-platform advertising properties including web, print and email in a business to business environment.
•Must be able to cold call, search for new clients, service existing clients.
•Assume responsibility, generate revenue and exceed sales targets given by Sales Directors.
•Develop new advertising opportunities to maintain and grow revenue.
•Ability to develop and maintain positive client relationships.
•Prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
•Attend industry events and conferences.
•Maintain detailed records.
•Work well in a team environment.
•Manage complex projects and information streams
•Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
